Dimension7 Relaunches

Dimension7 is a design agency based in Berlin. It seems as though they always have some cool stuff going on, and their design is super-cool. They recently relaunched their site with three new clothing designs, with options for tees, girl tees, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Army of Me Remixed

It looks as though iTunes has an exclusive Bjork album in its store that consists entirely of remixes and covers of her hit single Army of Me. The album was done as a charity project, and after recieving over 600 remixes and covers from various artists around the world 20 tracks were selected for the album. I was really excited at first to hear the album, but after I took a listen, I found most of the tracks are pretty strange, but there are a few good ones. Take a listen for yourself Here.

Trent Reznor and Garage Band!

This is one of the coolest things I have seen in awhile. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has just released his latest single as an Apple Garage Band file, and is available to download here. He is encouraging people to download the file and remix and tweak the track. Apparently he has been wanting to do something similar to this for some time now, but it looks as though Apple's consumer level technology is making it possible. Talk about being able to connect with your favorite artists on a whole new level. Mad props to Trent, this is brilliant!

Brain Food: A Couple of Cool Books

Freewave is a 260 page book that comes with an included CD-ROM, that has works from over 100 graphic designers, font makers and other artists. The cool thing about this book though, is it also includes the tricks behind all the works AND over 4GB's of the files, fonts and icons they used to make them! The content included is completely royalty free and is open for all personal use. So if you are looking to learn from the masters on how to become a photoshop master, this book is for you.

Another cool book out by the name of Built to Grind (soft cover, $34.95) looks like a good read. The book covers 25 years of skateboard history including spotlights on Rick Blackhart, Steve Olson, Steve Alba, Duane Peters, Christian Hosoi, Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, Jeff Grosso, Eric Dressen, Ray Barbee, Mark Gonzales, Colin McKay, Danny Way, Tim Brauch, Andrew Reynolds, Peter Hewitt, Bucky Lasek, and Tony Trujillo and more. Check it out fools.

Live Show Ranting

For those of you who were at the Album Leaf show last night you can relate with me when I say it blew my mind. They were amazing. As for the opening bands, I would recommend checking them out. I personally didn't care much for Black Mountain, but I was impressed with Roots of Orchis. I thought it was weird that Liquid Joe's was chosen as a venue again, not that it is a bad venue, but there are better out there for sure.

Another upcoming show you should be sure to check out is Atmosphere and Grayskull. I am sure you have all heard Atmosphere, and I have not yet had the opportunity to see them live, but I am sure they put on a good show. Although, I am most excited about the group with recently released album Deadlivers, Grayskull. I recently acquired a copy of the album and it's one of the most exciting hip-hop albums I have heard this year. It sounds a lot like Cannibal Ox, and features veterans such as Mr.Lif, Aesop Rock and Cannibus. Check it out.

The Album Leaf Tonight

The Album Leaf is playing tonight at Liquid Joe's. We went to this show last time they were in town at Liquid Joe's and it was amazing. The last show was very visual based and was super mellow. It might be a good idea to get there early and get a seat. Opening for them will Roots of Orchis and Black Mountain. This should be a great show.
