Remix Rush: Writing on the Wall

When hearing the music of North Carolina's Cities, one might think of Interpol, Snowden, or maybe even Radiohead. All this kind of falls into the "eh" genre for me, which is why the band never caught my eye until they released their latest album title Variations. The album features a slew of great electronic artists including Ladytron, Isan, Daedelus and Free The Robots who put their own twist on Cities' songs. A couple of my favorite re-works are both of the track "Writing on the Wall", done by Ladytron and Isan. I wouldn't be surprised if Variations sells more copies than the original album.
